Mallory Summer 2026 Swim Team Update

I can already smell the chlorine in the air—summer swim season is just around the corner! We are looking forward to a fantastic year, and we have a few important updates to share as we gear up for the first splash.

🏆 Big News: Mallory is Hosting Divisionals!

We are thrilled to announce that Mallory has been selected to host Divisionals this year! This is a huge honor for our team and a wonderful opportunity to showcase our facility and community. We look forward to making this a memorable event for all the athletes.

🗓️ Important Dates & Actions

  • Sign-ups: Open on May 1st.
  • Schedule: The full schedule is now live on the new Mallory website and on Instagram.
  • Meet & Greet / Parents 101: We will be hosting a mandatory session very early in the season. Whether you are a returning family or brand new to the team, please plan to attend—there is a lot of important information to cover! We will send the date and time shortly.

🏊 New Head Coach

We are thrilled to announce that Spencer Thompson will be taking the helm as our new Head Coach, stepping in for Coach Mac. Spencer is a familiar face to many of you, and we are excited to have him lead the team this season.

📋 Call for Volunteers

Our meets rely entirely on our amazing volunteers. To avoid last-minute scrambles and ensure our officials don’t experience burnout, we are implementing a new system this year: officials will sign up for their shifts at the beginning of the season.

Training Opportunities:

  • May 16th – Officials Training @ Little Neck
    • 8:00 AM: Referee & Starter
    • 9:00 AM: Stroke & Turn
  • Early June: A second training session is currently being planned. We will share details as soon as they are finalized.

Computer & Results Team: If you are interested in helping with results and computer administration during meets, there will be an online training on June 2nd at 6:30 PM. Please reply to this email if you are interested in joining this team!

We have plenty more information coming your way soon. In the meantime, if you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

Let’s go, Mallory!

Best regards,

Katie Nguyen
